RUBBER EXPANSION JOINTS AND PUMP CONNECTORS
Cablesphere
With factory-installed control units, it is like an insurance policy and expansion joint in one!
The Cablesphere is the ultimate rubber expansion joint/flex connector. It has all the benefits of the Metrasphere with the added feature of cost-efficient, pre-assembled control units. The standard Cablesphere body is constructed of multiple layers of neoprene and bias-ply tire cord reinforcing (see charts below for additional materials.) The spherical shape allows pressure to be exerted uniformly in all directions making an extremely strong joint. The cables are galvanized aircraft cable permanently affixed to the flanges. The cables are designed for the maximum test pressure of the joint. No adjustments can, or need be made to the cables. They are sized to prevent the joint from extending past its limit.
Please note: the elongation of the Cablesphere is purposely restricted compared to the Metrasphere. This is done to accommodate the 90% of the applications where the Cablesphere is installed as a pump connector and elongation is not desired.

Butyl body with threaded bolt holes in flanges provides 225 PSI at temperatures up to 220°F. Above 14", 125 PSI at temperatures up to 220°F.
