Metraloop V-loop expansion joint The Metraloop V-loop has many of the advantages of the standard Metraloop expansion joint, but requires more guiding and has a larger footprint. Able to fit long and low in tight spaces, the V-loop is more flexible than standard metal and rubber expansion joints. The Metraloop V-loop expansion joint compensates for thermal expansion and seismic pipe movement without significant thrust loads. The Metraloop V-loop flexes before the pipe begins to bow and before high loads are imposed at anchor points to the building. It's ability to flex in all directions allows it to help protect piping crossing the building's expansion joint and to compensate for settling. For optimum protection without thrust loads and little or no guiding, and the most flexibility in design and installation, check out the standard Metraloop expansion joint. |
