MetraSeal Pipe Penetration Seal

metraseal-bg-video

Pipe penetration seal is a reusable, permanent, water-tight rubber seal

The MetraSeal Pipe Wall Penetration Seal quickly creates a mechanical water-tight seal, filling the space around any round pipe including: concrete, steel, plastic, cast iron, copper, and electrical conduit to name a few. The modular seal design creates a permanent hydrostatic seal rated at 20 psig (40 feet of head), sealing out ground water while absorbing noise and dampening vibration.

The MetraSeal mechanical-type seal assembly installs up to 75% faster than standard cured seals, resisting aging, water, oil, ozone and sunlight for up to 25 years. Available in multiple elastomer/hardware materials, the MetraSeal can fit any application. By providing electrical insulation to the pipe joint, it protects against pipe corrosion, protecting your investment.

  • Install around any round pipe
  • Available in multiple rubber materials to fit any application
  • Faster installations
  • Install in all weather conditions
  • Use in subgrade, exterior or interior applications

To quickly calculate the right seal for your application use our online seal calculator.

How To Install Metraseal Pipe Penetration Seals

Step 1

install1Wrap the belt around the pipe. Then connect the first and last links.

Step 2

install2Slide the assembly into the space between the pipe and wall.

Step 3

install3Gradually and sequentially tighten the bolts. Tighten each bolt 2-3 turns making 4-7 passes completely around the pipe. You should see the rubber bulge between the pressure plates. Do not cross tighten. The MetraSeal links expand to create a gas and water tight seal.

Wall Sleeves for pipe penetration seals

Cleaner installation for your piping system

Available in steel or PVC, wall sleeves are positioned in the wall before the concrete is poured. Wall sleeves offer a cleaner installation for your engineered piping system.

MetraSeal pipe gap seals work with or without wall sleeves.
