Metraflex is a manufacturer that has been supplying piping specialty products to the commercial HVAC industry since 1958. Located in the West Town part of downtown Chicago, Metraflex has representatives selling their products across the country and around the world. The R&D/QC Intern position will be able to make recommendations on product changes and enhance the overall quality of products. They will work directly with our engineering teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Familiar with SolidWorks or similar program
• Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions in a fast-paced dynamic environment

What You’ll Do

• Create Models/Assemblies for new and current products.
• Improve existing products through modification, redesign, or value engineering
• Design new products using SolidWorks, 3D printers, and rapid prototyping
• Perform physical testing on new and existing products
• Work with domestic and foreign suppliers to maintain quality of parts

Pay: $18-$22/hr.
